About Cavidi
Founded in 1984 by virologists from Uppsala University, Cavidi develops technologies for biomarker detection in oncology, infectious disease research and precision medicine. The company’s scientific expertise originates from the application of reverse transcriptase in in vitro diagnostics, enabling highly sensitive biomarker measurement without reliance on complex instrumentation. Building on decades of experience in virology and assay development, Cavidi focuses on improving the detection of low-abundance biomarkers to support research, diagnostics and disease monitoring. Its technologies are designed to provide robust analytical sensitivity for applications where accurate quantification is critical.
Cavidi’s product portfolio centres on Exazym®, an immunoassay signal amplification technology based on its proprietary Binding Oligo Ladder Detection (BOLD) platform. BOLD enhances assay sensitivity while maintaining low background signal, supporting the detection and monitoring of challenging biomarkers across a range of ELISA and immunoassay workflows. The technology can be integrated into research-use-only assays and diagnostic development programmes, enabling greater sensitivity in biomarker discovery, validation and measurement. In addition to reagent kits, Cavidi provides technical services and collaborates with assay developers seeking to incorporate signal amplification into existing platforms.
Europa Biosite subsidiaries distribute Cavidi products in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
