Helping make research possible

About Cayman Chemical

Founded in 1980, Cayman Chemical develops research tools and contract research capabilities that support investigations across lipid biology, inflammation, cancer, neuroscience, metabolism, cardiovascular disease and drug discovery. The company has particular expertise in the synthesis, purification and characterisation of lipids and bioactive small molecules, enabling researchers to study cellular signalling pathways, metabolic regulation and disease mechanisms. Its scientific capabilities also include assay development, antibody generation, recombinant protein production, analytical chemistry and structural biology, supporting both basic research and translational studies in academic, biotechnology and pharmaceutical laboratories.

Cayman Chemical’s product portfolio includes lipid research reagents, biochemicals, assay kits, antibodies, recombinant proteins and certified reference materials. The company is well known for its extensive range of lipid standards, lipid mediators and MaxSpec® mass spectrometry standards, as well as tools for lipidomics, oxidative stress, cell signalling and drug target research. In addition, Cayman provides reagents and services for lipid nanoparticle (LNP) development, biomarker analysis and preclinical drug discovery workflows. These products support applications including pathway analysis, quantitative mass spectrometry, target validation, therapeutic screening and biomarker research.
