Founded in 1984 by two virologists from Uppsala University, Cavidi began with a focus on using reverse transcriptase to detect biomarkers for cancer and infectious diseases. The company went on to develop highly sensitive assays that matched PCR performance, without the need for complex equipment or workflows.
